Det är för stort, gränsen är 250kb har jag för mig. Ändra bildstorleken till 800*600 eller liknande i Paint eller annat bildbehandlingsprogram så kommer det säkert gå bättre.

Bilder från Takt & Ton på Linn Klimax DS .

Fjärren ligger på sniskan till höger på några bilder, fick slut batteri
i kameran så jag fick inte med den på någon närbild... (ser dock
ut som en fjärr till en enklare digital-box men rätt ok ändå).

På översta bilden (baksidan) syns balanserade och obalanserade
utgångar till vänster, jordningsskruv i mitten och resetknappen
ovanför den.

Till höger om den anslutning för RS232-styrnining (och Knekt?).

Till höger om dessa två är Ethernet-anslutning och strömbrytare.

Nätbrunnen är till höger om strömbrytaren.

Jag såg just att kopian av testen från Hi-FI World Oct 2007 var av för
dålig kvalitet för att scannas in... De hade DS´n kopplat till en Laptop
och var djupt imponerade av den i a f.

De har inte köpt någon hårddisk av mig än... :wink:

Nja, om sanningen ska fram så har de faktiskt fixat
fram en hårddisk själv, men inte hunnit få igång allt
än...

Om någon undrar varför jag fotade golvet så blev bild 2 bli till av misstag

Använde min Panasonic DMC-TZ1 med och utan blixt (sista bilden utan

Vad gäller lagring av musik på hårddisk och säkerhet så kan ni läsa lite
om olika RAID-nivåer här:

En rekommendation är att använda RAID 5 med fyra diskar. Det ger en
75% effektiv användning (RAID 1 = 50%)av totala hårddiskstorleken och
samtidigt riktigt god säkerhet. OM nu inte Linn rekommenderar t ex RAID 1
av ljudmässiga skäl????

Ex:
4x250GB = 1TB => 750GB utrymme till lagring = ca 1000CD´s eller ca 100 DVD-filmer (pris omkring 5-7.000kr)

4x500GB = 2TB => 1,5TB utrymme till lagring = ca 2000CD´s eller ca 200 DVD-filmer (pris omkring 9-10.000kr)

4x750GB = 3TB => 2,25TB utrymme till lagring = ca 3000CD´s eller ca 300 DVD-filmer (pris omkring 14-16.000kr)

4x1TB = 4TB => 3TB utrymme till lagring = ca 4000CD´s eller ca 400 DVD-filmer (pris omkring 20-22.000kr)

Ljudmässigt är den säkert enormt bra men en sån här produkt står och faller med användargränssnittet. Blir spännande att se hur man bläddrar i biblioteket. Knappast med fjärren på bilden och displayen på enheten eller?

Enda anledningen som jag kan se till att man skulle man vilja använda en gammal (dyr) CD som drive är för att spela SACD-skivor om det nu inte går att rippa dessa (vilket vore skandal om man inte kan!). När man löst rippning är det ju mer ekonomiskt att sälja den och skaffa en billigare variant (PC, billig CD el. dyl.) eftersom det uppenbarligen inte spelar någon direkt roll hur dataströmmen ser ut bara att data är korrekt.

Ang. interface så blir det väl så att man kommer köpa ett paket med prylar där Kimax DS är en del och styrning etc. utformas efter behov. Det tycker jag är en vettig lösning. Att skicka med en ur fkt.synpkt. undermålig fjärr tycker jag dock verkar onödigt. Bättre då om de skickar med t.ex. silverkablar 8)

Ang. internet-radio och MP3 etc. så är det kanske inte förstahandsvalet när man skall lyssna på musik via en sådan spelare (antagligen i det närmaste härdsmälta), men det kunde väl vara bra om möjligheten fanns så att man inte måste använda PC:n för att t.ex. kunna provlyssna ev. MP3-material. Det naturliga är säkert att man därefter skaffar musiken på något vettigt (lyssningsbart) format.
