The Mk1 had a smooth anodized aluminum armtube. The Mk2 had a rough, crinkly finish - not smooth at all.
the mark 1 has a lot more weight in it overall.... and has as peeps say-- a smooth finish
the mark 2 is lighter with a crinkly finish
most matk 1 arms i see have the sticky bearing problem some times in the vertical axis and most of the time in the horizontal axis
The mark I had plastic bearings, the mark II messing bearings. This is the most important difference.
