Post subject:  How to connect Linn Valhalla mains cable
Har funderat över varför Valhalla inte kopplas med jordkabel från el. Finns det någon anledning till detta ? Eller är min 12:a felkopplad. Det finns följande koppling på Valhallan

Normalt så kopplar vi strömkablar med Europa kontakt till sådant som inte tar så mkt ström och då används inte jord och till skivspelare och i synnerhet då jorden bara tar med sig skräp och då vi i Sverige inte har riktig jord.
Däremot i England och Usa där de har riktig jord kopplas Lp 12an med jord kabel.
Tittar man dock på de gamla Lp 12orna från Usa så hade man 110 och fas ingen jord.

Mains connections
The LP12 to which the Valhalla is fitted must be earthed – both for Safety and functional reasons.
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
Green & Yellow : Earth ENDAST England,Usa
Blue : Neutral
Brown : Live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire coloured Green & Yellow must be connected to the terminal in the plug that is marked with the
letter E (earth) or the Earth symbol; or is coloured Green or Green/Yellow.
The wire coloured Blue must be connected to the terminal that is marked with the letter N (neutral) or
coloured Black.
The wire coloured Brown must be connected to the terminal that is marked with the letter L (live) or coloured Red

Wow, det där kallar jag utförligt svar :-)

Spinner vidare på tråden eftersom jag tycker det är ett intressant ämne.
Jag hörde för massor av år sedan att det kan vara en fördel att koppla ihop dom olika delarna i utrustningen via jordskruvarna om man saknar jordade uttag. Detta eftersom man jämnar ut eventuella potentialskillnader och får samma "nollnivå" på utrustningen.
Har för mig att Japan var ett land som nämndes i diskussionen och som ofta saknade jord i uttagen.

Obs! Obs! Obs! Vill verkligen inte uppmuntra någon att testa ovanstående utan att ha väldigt torrt på fötterna (bokstavligen :-)
